Nike id is the way to go if you want to own a custom pair of Nike shoes. While only available through Nike’s store or through retailers who make their own shoes for sale, Nike id goes past the boundaries of the normal shoe and lets you customize the colors, styles and materials of your shoe.
When you go to Nike id, the only thing you need to remember is to pick the type of shoe that helps you the most before you begin customization. Many of the models Nike sells is available under the Nike id system, which allows beginners and professional athletes alike to get the perfect shoe. If you are purchasing for a team, you have the option to save a template and buy many shoes in different sizes to outfit your team in the same Nike shoes.
The first thing you will do when you use Nike id is to select the type of shoe you want. At this point, you will be presented with each of the panels of the shoe, and the color options and material options that are available. In some cases, certain materials only allow certain colors, so it is best to select the material first. Then you can pick the color of the material if the option is available. Some textures, such as silvered duct tape, are only available in silver. Suede and leather materials are available in a range of colors, as are many of the plastic options. The materials are limited based off of the shoe base you select, so you may have to try several different models of shoes before you find one that has the functionality and colors that you prefer.
Once you have selected the type of shoe and the color customizations that you want, you insert your Nike id into the interface, pay for the shoe, and wait for it to be built and delivered. As the shoes are custom, they take a little longer to ship than the standard stock shoes. However, as the selections are a little limited in the colors, the materials required are always available, so you do not have to deal with delays once you have ordered your Nike id shoes and have paid for them.
It is suggested that you register with the Nike id program before you begin designing your shoe. If you do not have your Nike id ready, you will be slightly delayed as you will have to go through the registration process. As some areas do not support the Nike id program, it is suggested that you confirm that Nike id ships and sells to your region before you design your custom shoe.
